Learning Objectives: As a result of this program the participants will be able to:• Demonstrate their understanding of the rules and regulations that govern the real estate industry.• Describe the recent updates to current rules and regulations that govern the real estate industry in Vermont.• Become familiar with recent REC disciplinary decisions and VT Supreme Court decisions relevant to the real estate industry. THIS COURSE IS REQUIRED FOR LICENSE RENEWAL IN 2026. 4 Hours of Vermont CE Credit Instructor: David Raphael Cost: $55 Zoom Zoom David Raphael David is a full time Realtor with over 20 years of experience, who is actively involved in both my community and my Realtor organizations. He serves his real estate community with pride and take the Realtor® code of ethics to heart, serving on the local and state professional standards boards and as a mediator and ombudsman. 2024 marks his nineteenth year in leadership with positions on the Multiple Listing Service board (VREIN), the local Realtor® board and the state and national associations. David is currently the Vermont Association of Realtors Treasurer and a National Director for the National Association of Realtors. Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin appointed David in 2011 to a five-year term as a Commissioner on the Vermont Real Estate Commission. His ongoing work on the Commission earned him a re-appointment from the Governor in 2016 for another term which concluded in 2019. David continues to serve his profession as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for two national real estate exam providers and one of the country’s largest education providers. In this role he assists in the development of examination and education content. VAR® will happily provide a refund for cancellation or transfer requests received up to 7 days prior to a course offering. Because VAR® reserved a seat in anticipation of your attendance any cancellations or transfers after 7 days will incur an administrative fee in the amount of $25.00. No refund will be given to those who cancel within 2 days of the course offering. No shows, i.e. individuals who did not sign in or out, who arrived late or left early or who did not show up at all – for any reason – are ineligible for any refund or transfer.
