The procuring cause of a transaction is the interaction between a home buyer or seller and a real estate agent that results in the purchase or sale of a property. A procuring cause dispute occurs when the homebuyer or seller has worked with multiple real estate agents in their efforts to buy or sell a home, and multiple agents feel entitled to the commission generated from the purchase or sale conducted by the buyer or seller.

By the end of the course participants will have a clearer understanding of procuring cause in the real estate transaction.

This course is interactive with a variety of case studies to be discussed and tying the transaction into NAR’s Code of Ethics.
